Battlefield franchise can now pre-load the beta version of Battlefield 6, the highly anticipated next installment in EA’s flagship first-person shooter series. After months of speculation and recent gameplay reveals, players are finally on the verge of experiencing what’s being described as the most ambitious Battlefield beta yet.
The beta officially kicks off on August 7 at 08:00 UTC, but eager players can already download the client starting from August 4 at 15:00 UTC across PlayStation, Xbox Series XS, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App).
Although the file size of the pre-load hasn’t been confirmed, fans should expect a sizeable download, reflective of the game’s scale and technical aspirations. Electronic Arts has yet to share final storage requirements, but previous Battlefield titles have regularly pushed large install sizes — and Battlefield 6 is expected to be no different.

How to Access the Battlefield 6 Beta
To pre-load the beta, players need only search for “Battlefield 6 Beta” on their preferred digital storefront and initiate the download as they would for any standard game. It’s worth noting, however, that pre-loading the beta does not guarantee access during the early access phase.
Who Gets In First? The first wave of access, beginning August 7, will be exclusive to:
Battlefield Labs members
EA Play Pro subscribers
Players who received beta codes through the multiplayer reveal event
For everyone else, there will be two full open beta windows:
August 9–11, 2025 (08:00 UTC start)
August 14–17, 2025 (08:00 UTC start)
These windows will allow unrestricted access for all players, giving the broader community a chance to test the new mechanics, maps, and systems ahead of the game’s full release.
