Electronic Arts has unveiled a major competitive push for Battlefield 6 with the introduction of a $1 million esports circuit centered on the game’s REDSEC battle royale mode. The new Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series and Open Series will begin in early December.

Announced on November 20th, the Elite Series brings together 50 team captains from the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Each captain will select four players to form their squad. Matches will combine Battle Royale and Gauntlet modes, with six battle royale rounds leading into a Gauntlet showdown for the day’s winner. Teams will collect Elite Series Points throughout the season.

Three qualifying match days will determine the 25 teams from each region that advance to the December 18th season finals. All matches will be held online.

Prize pools vary by region: the Americas will award $50,000 per qualifying day and $500,000 during the finals, while EMEA and APAC will offer $20,000 per qualifier and $285,000 in their respective finals.

The first qualifying event is set for December 10th, marking the official competitive debut of Battlefield REDSEC.
