After the M3 World Championship, Blacklist International is stepping away from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene.
On January 21, Blacklist International, the iconic Filipino esports organization, announced they would be leaving the MPL Philippines. The news came after coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza hinted at the team’s potential exit during a livestream on his personal Facebook page last week.
In their statement, Blacklist International explained that their decision to part ways with MPL Philippines was driven by a business opportunity aligned with the new direction of their parent company, Tier One Entertainment, which aims to expand beyond the esports industry.

While Blacklist International remains optimistic about the future of the MLBB community, they have decided to transfer the MPL franchise ownership to a new organization for MPL Philippines Season 15. The team also mentioned that they are open to returning to the league in the future but will focus their efforts on developing other existing titles for now.
Blacklist International has been a prominent name in the MLBB ecosystem. They became M3 World Champions in 2021 and, since joining MPL Philippines in 2020, have won three seasons (7, 8, and 10). After finishing third at the 2023 M5 World Championship, Blacklist placed fourth in two consecutive seasons last year, which resulted in missing out on M6.
The decision to sell their MPL Philippines slot comes after Tier One Entertainment was presented with a business opportunity that fits with the company’s evolving vision.
