OpTic Texas has announced another major change to their Call of Duty roster, once again swapping Amer “Pred” Zulbeari for Cuyler “Huke” Garland. This move marks the second roster change in just a few months, signaling another shift during the ongoing Call of Duty Rostermania.
Huke Replaces Pred in OpTic Texas Roster, Marking Another Change Ahead of Stage 3
OpTic Gaming officially bid farewell to Pred today, thanking him for his “passion and energy” throughout his time with the team. The announcement comes just a few months after Pred moved to the inactive roster in December. At the time, he cited the need for a break to focus on his mental health and personal issues. Although he was still under contract with OpTic, Pred later confirmed he was a free agent.

In his absence, Huke rejoined the OpTic lineup after more than a year away. Huke had been part of OpTic’s roster before, most notably helping the Dallas Empire secure the CDL Championship in 2020. However, after that success, Huke bounced between various teams, including stints with LA Thieves, LA Guerrillas, and Seattle/Vancouver Surge. His return to OpTic was met with high expectations, but the team’s performance struggled early in the season with him on the roster.
Despite Pred rejoining the starting squad in February, OpTic’s struggles continued. The team’s poor results culminated in the Stage Two Major last weekend, leading to yet another significant roster change. Just before the major, OpTic Texas had already brought in Cesar “Skyz” Bueno, replacing the underperforming Kenneth “Kenny” Williams.
