Battlestate Games has just revealed that its flagship game, Escape from Tarkov, has officially sold one million copies since reaching its full 1.0 release on November 15, 2025. This marks a huge achievement for the highly popular extraction shooter, which has been in development for nearly a decade.
The milestone comes just weeks after the game received a significant overhaul, transitioning from its long-running alpha and beta phases into a fully released product. Since then, the game’s popularity has surged, with players spending a staggering 15,410 years collectively in-game, a figure that translates to over 200 million full raids on the iconic Customs map alone.

Escape from Tarkov: Still the King of Extraction Shooters
Despite the rise of competitors in the extraction shooter genre, Escape from Tarkov continues to reign supreme. The game remains a fan favorite, frequently topping charts and staying at the forefront of online gaming. Although ARC Raiders has posed a challenge to Tarkov's dominance, the hardcore shooter continues to hold its ground.
Released in 1.0 in November, the game’s full launch has marked the end of its long alpha and beta journey. Since then, Battlestate Games has focused on expanding its post-launch content, with promises of new games, DLC, and even a potential console release on the horizon.
To commemorate the one million sales milestone, Battlestate Games is rewarding players with a special promo code, ONEMILLIONPLUS, which can be redeemed for in-game rewards. This is the first time the developers have publicly shared exact sales figures for Escape from Tarkov. While estimations have been made over the years, the team has remained tight-lipped about how many copies the game has sold until now.
