OpTic Gaming has once again cemented its place in Call of Duty history, claiming the Esports World Cup title in Riyadh after a commanding 4-0 sweep over Vancouver Surge in the grand final. The win marks a continuation of OpTic’s dominance in 2024, coming just weeks after the team secured its second consecutive Call of Duty League Championship title in Kitchener.

With this latest victory, OpTic becomes the first team to win both COD Champs and the Esports World Cup in the same season—an unprecedented achievement in the competitive Call of Duty scene. “It’s been an incredible run,” said one team member in a post-match interview. “We’ve had our ups and downs, but the way we’ve finished this season speaks volumes about our resilience.”
