Team Falcons has announced a new partnership with global energy drink giant Red Bull in the lead-up to the Esports World Cup. While specific details of the collaboration have not yet been disclosed, a LinkedIn post from the organisation revealed Red Bull branding on Team Falcons' jerseys, signaling the beginning of what it described as an "ambitious" and "energised" new chapter.
“The Falcon has doubled its wings,” the organisation wrote in a recent Facebook post, hinting at the significance of the partnership.
Red Bull's entrance into Team Falcons’ commercial roster is the latest move in the brand's growing presence in the esports industry. The company already sponsors several esports organisations and players, and it hosts its own competitive events. Earlier this year, Red Bull announced a collaboration with UK-based Fnatic, which includes content development through the Fnatic Creator Network. The brand has also recently signed top esports figures such as Fortnite pro Mongraal and Los Ratones founder Caedrel.
For Team Falcons, Red Bull joins an expanding list of partners that includes coffee brand Barns, banking platform NEO, and fast food chain Kudu. The organisation fields competitive teams across a variety of esports titles and has been gaining momentum on the international stage.
At the inaugural Esports World Cup last year, Team Falcons secured the most Club Points, earning them the title of the first-ever Club Champion and an additional $7 million in prize money.
With Red Bull now in its corner, Team Falcons is positioning itself for another strong showing at this year's event, potentially with new content and collaborative activations to follow.
