Two of Coffee Stain’s co founders, Oscar Jilsén and Mikael Mård, have revealed that they have started a new game studio named Feeble Minds. The pair previously worked on the well known titles Goat Simulator and Satisfactory.
They are joined by several industry veterans. The team includes Jannik Reuterberg, who composed music for Satisfactory, along with Johan Gustafsson, who once worked at Paradox as a product owner and programming manager. Sofie Irenheim, a former art director at PocApp Studios, is also part of the group. Rounding out the team are Marloes de Graaf, who used to be a junior level designer at Coffee Stain, and Clara Lindblad Åman, an artist formerly with The Bearded Ladies.
Although Feeble Minds began work in 2022, the studio is only announcing itself now. The team also revealed its first game, a four player co op soulslike roguelike titled Serpent’s Gaze.
“We are a bunch of friends who have been gaming together for a long time, and one type of game we have been missing on the market is co op roguelikes,” said Reuterberg, who serves as the company’s CEO. “Combining this with our great love and respect for the souls formula, we decided to develop the very game we were missing. Since then we have seen an increased demand for both rogue and soulslikes, and the combination of both is still rare. We now look forward to sharing our vision with the world!”
In a LinkedIn post, CTO Gustafsson shared his own story. He said he left Paradox more than three years ago to follow his dreams, even though he enjoyed his time there. He wrote that the game he has been building since then now has a demo available on Steam, with a full release planned for early 2026.
