Fortnite Might Add Gambling

Fortnite could soon be introducing gambling-style mechanics to its player-created experiences, according to well-known leaker ShiinaBR. The feature is said to be “coming soon” and will reportedly be available for games made with the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
Details are still unclear, but current leaks suggest that these gambling systems may not appear in official Fortnite modes or the Item Shop. Instead, they will likely be limited to community-made experiences, where creators can design games that include randomized item purchases.
According to the leaks, players will be able to buy random items using V-Bucks, Fortnite’s premium currency. However, creators will need to disclose the odds of receiving certain rewards — a standard practice in gaming that helps meet international regulations. Additionally, these gambling-enabled experiences may be blocked in some countries where such mechanics are restricted by law.
Although a few community maps already include light gambling features, such as pet eggs with rare hatches in games like Pet Heroes Adventure, those systems only use non-purchasable in-game currency. The rumored update would mark the first time real-money mechanics are formally integrated into Fortnite’s creator tools.
It’s important to note that this information is based on leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt. Epic Games has not made any official announcement confirming gambling mechanics in Fortnite. Until the company comments, players should treat these reports as speculation.
