The grand final at Riot Games Arena in Busan started as badly as it could for Global Esports Nongshim RedForce took Sunset 13-11 on their own pick, then hammered GE 13-2 on Split.

Nongshim had won the same fixture 2-1 in the upper final two days earlier and held a huge double map ban advantage. Both teams had already qualified for Champions Shanghai.

Then Abyss came and GE went 6-2 up on defence, Nongshim pulled it back to 7-5 at half, and the second half turned into a genuine fight before GE closed it 13-10. Four different players passed 200 ACS, the team performed very well.

At Lotus, Skye-Tejo setup built to enable UdoTan's Waylay produced an 11-1 first half and a 13-5 finish. IGL xavi8k put up 21 frags at 308 ACS.

Haven stayed even close, a round that looked lost after a broken GE buy turned on sheriff shots across the map, handing them match point, and they converted the next round again for 13-10.

UdoTan took Grand Final MVP on a 77-81-28 line, collecting the insane Pulsar mouse set with 3.2 carats of diamonds. First regional title for all five players and head coach Platoon.

The year of firsts

Global Esports entered Valorant in 2020 and joined the partnered league in 2023. They had a fantastic year.

The route

Second in Group Alpha at 3-2. Wins over Rex Regum Qeon and FULL SENSE, losses to Nongshim and Gen.G, then a sweep of ZETA DIVISION to reach the upper bracket.

KIWOOM DRX 2-1, VARREL 2-0, then the upper final loss to Nongshim. T1 beaten 3-1 in the lower final for the rematch.
