These experiences have shaped both us as a studio and the games we build.”

Although HCS will not be returning with a new Halo title in 2026, 343 Industries has confirmed it will still assist in organizing non-HCS LAN and online tournaments to keep grassroots competition alive. The studio emphasized its commitment to the community and hinted that light competition will continue through partner-supported initiatives outside the core HCS structure.
In the same announcement, the studio teased that it is “turning its focus toward the next era of Halo.” While no official details have been released, industry speculation suggests a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved could be in development, possibly laying the groundwork for the next competitive iteration of the franchise.
