Mongolian event organizer MESA has revealed more details about the qualifying process for the first of two $250,000 Nomadic Masters tournaments set to take place in 2025.
Scheduled for April 30 to May 4 in Ulaanbaatar, the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring will feature eight qualifying spots, half of which will be determined by the European and Asian VRS rankings. As a tier-two ranked event, it will only include VRS teams ranked ninth or lower in the global standings.
Europe will hold an online closed qualifier with four teams competing for two spots, while Asia will host a six-team closed qualifier on LAN at the MESA Studio, with one spot available.
The final spot will be filled by the winner of MESA League Season 4, a week-long event featuring eight Mongolian teams, all selected through open qualifiers.

"We've been steadily building momentum in the Asia region and the global tier-2 scene," said MESA CEO Amarjargal Altankhuyag. "Last year alone, we distributed a $295,000 prize pool and invested over $400,000 in travel, hospitality costs solely for our CS2 and DOTA2 events, fully covered by local sponsorships and commercial opportunities—truly impressive results considering Mongolia's small economy and market."
"Remarkably, 70% of those events were LAN tournaments, hosted at the MESA LAN studio, providing powerful LAN experience for Mongolian and Asian teams."
"We take immense pride in our independent status as a tournament organizer and in what we are creating for the esports scene in Mongolia and Asia. We see MESA Nomadic Masters stands out as a highly competitive product on the global stage and MESA Asian Masters as a great example of a ladder regional product leading to tier-1 events.”
Here’s a breakdown of the upcoming qualifiers:
EU Closed Qualifier (two spots)

Asia Closed Qualifier (one spot)
