In recent days, serious allegations have emerged regarding the internal operations of Spanish esports organization Movistar KOI, prompting widespread concern from fans and community members alike. Las Karpas—comprised of supporters and insiders—has released a detailed statement outlining multiple incidents of alleged neglect, mistreatment, and workplace toxicity affecting both players and staff within the organization.
The group claims to have spent several days verifying the information before coming forward publicly, stressing that their goal is not to damage the brand, but to seek accountability for what they describe as "unacceptable" and "dangerous" conditions.

Health and Safety Concerns
Among the most shocking claims are that players who became ill were not taken to medical professionals but were instead treated with homeopathic remedies. One particularly disturbing incident involved a cook who allegedly conducted unannounced "tests" on player Supa—who has a nut allergy—in an attempt to identify the specific allergen on her own, risking a potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.
The environment at the team house was reportedly toxic, with individuals allegedly encouraging conflict among players, fostering ongoing tension that disrupted daily life and professional performance.
Perhaps most alarming, players reportedly discovered shards of glass in a smoothie—an incident that, according to the statement, was never properly addressed.

Neglect During International Events
During the team’s participation at Worlds, a breakdown in trust led players to refuse further cooperation with the cook. Rather than replacing her, the organization reportedly provided no alternative support. As a result, players subsisted on takeout food throughout the competition.
This lack of support, according to Las Karpas, had a direct impact not only on physical and emotional health but also on players’ financial stability.
Allegations of Unfair Compensation
A performance bonus scheme within Movistar KOI is also under scrutiny. The bonus—shared among players and performance staff—is reportedly distributed at the sole discretion of a team leader referred to as Till. Sources claim this system is subjective and has been used in an arbitrary and punitive manner.
Melzhet, a player who publicly voiced his opinion about academy management, was allegedly denied his bonus as a result. Meanwhile, players Álvaro and Supa were reportedly excluded from the bonus pool after conflicts with existing staff and their refusal to work with the cook in question.
Mistreatment of Team Psychologist The team psychologist also appears to have faced significant challenges. According to the report, he was underpaid—earning less than half the salary of the cook—and routinely obstructed in his efforts to support players. The organization reportedly refused to cover his accommodation and travel expenses, forcing Melzhet to pay out of pocket so the psychologist could attend a bootcamp in Madrid.
