The newly formed Near Airport team, featuring two-time retired legend Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, along with Ashkan ‘TF Blade’ Homayouni, Mingyi ‘Spica’ Lu, Eugene ‘Pobelter’ Park, and Vincent ‘Biofrost’ Wang, is set to compete in the 2025 League of Legends NACL.
After an impressive performance in the NACL qualifiers, where they swept through every opponent, Near Airport has earned their place in the upcoming season. Their journey will begin with NACL Split 1, as they aim to eventually reach LTA. “I’ve been playing top lane for eight years and now, for the first time, I’m looking at the pro scene. It’s going to be fun for content, but I’m also approaching it more seriously, maybe even competitively. I’m excited to see how it all unfolds,” said TF Blade about his decision to join the team and compete in NACL.

As the team prepares for NACL, Doublelift acknowledged one of their biggest obstacles: finding time for scrims amidst their streaming and personal commitments.
“Things aren’t going great when it comes to practice. Time commitment is a major issue, and I’m not sure everyone can balance it all. We all have our own streaming schedules, sponsorships, and personal lives to juggle. Plus, Vincent [Biofrost] is still a student,” Doublelift said.
Despite these challenges, the team is determined to give their best effort. They aren’t interested in putting in a half-hearted attempt and are committed to making things work, as Doublelift motivated his teammates.
