HyperX partnered with Neurable to integrate neuroscience into gaming with new products that use EEG sensors to track your brainwaves while you play. The goal is to help improve gameplay by monitoring focus, reaction times, and mental state, all in real-time. This partnership, revealed at CES 2026, aims to make brain-computer interfaces (BCI) a natural part of the gaming experience.

How the Tech Works
The new technology will be built into gaming headsets and designed to monitor your brain activity both before and during gameplay. According to Neurable, by tracking things like mental fatigue or concentration levels, the system can help gamers improve accuracy, avoid tilting (the mental state that leads to mistakes), and potentially even speed up reaction times.
“We look forward to the excitement of this strategic relationship, which represents a promising future of gaming, one where understanding your mind becomes as natural as understanding your mechanics,” said Ramses Alcaide, CEO of Neurable. He pointed out that this tech is meant to be as invisible as possible, integrating seamlessly into the gear gamers are already using.
A Step Toward More Mental Monitoring in Gaming
Neurable isn’t new to using neuroscience in consumer tech. The company previously tested similar brainwave-monitoring technology in the Master & Dynamic MW75 headphones aimed at professionals, helping people track focus levels and prevent burnout. With HyperX, the company is bringing the same ideas to gaming.
This could help players understand when they’re at their best mentally and give them a way to adjust if their focus starts to slip. It’s not just about tracking how quickly you press buttons; it’s about tracking how well your mind is handling the stress of a game, which can be just as important in high-stakes moments.
This kind of brain-monitoring technology could be a game-changer in terms of how players approach competitive gaming. By providing real-time data on brain activity, the tech could help players adjust their mental strategies, take breaks before burnout, or even recognize when they need to refocus during a match.
However it is also kind of scary and straight out of a sci-fi movie. Time will tell.
