OG Esports, has announced an open trial initiative to scout fresh talent for its Marvel Rivals roster. This comes in the wake of the OG Seed team’s early exit from the EMEA Marvel Rivals Ignite – Stage 1 Playoffs, which left the team unable to compete for a spot in the Mid-Season Finals.

As part of the OG MR Combine, the organization is now looking to discover emerging players from around the world and continue to build competitive strength in Marvel Rivals. Despite the disappointing exit, OG Esports is emphasizing that the trials are not about making immediate roster changes but rather about expanding their talent pipeline for future seasons.

"We’re not looking to make roster changes right now," OG Esports stated. "This initiative is about discovering new talent, remaining competitive, and ensuring OG has the best possible foundation for Marvel Rivals."

OG was initially invited to the Stage 1 Group Stages following a strong performance in previous events, securing fourth place in the European Season 1 Championship and second in the Marvel Rivals EMEA Invitational. However, their tournament run in Stage 1 was less successful. After an early 2-0 defeat to Schmungus in the Group Stages, OG found themselves in the Lower Bracket, where they managed to defeat ZERO.PERCENT but were subsequently knocked out by All Business in a narrow 2-1 series.

With no immediate competition on the horizon until Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2, OG is using this downtime to focus on scouting both seasoned competitors and up-and-coming players. The trials are open to individuals of all skill levels, from experienced season players to rising stars with potential.

The OG MR Combine is not limited to in-game talent either. The organization is also seeking coaching staff and other key roles, inviting applicants to showcase both their gameplay and off-game dynamics. According to the official release, the trials will include a "structured evaluation process" that will assess participants' individual performance, teamwork, and overall potential to thrive within the organization.
