Johannes Thimme, a veteran of Ubisoft with over two decades in the games industry, has announced the founding of Quality Time Studio, a new game development company based in Lower Saxony, Germany.
The studio’s primary goal is to develop an original game prototype while also offering consulting, coaching, and mentoring services for indie developers and emerging studios.
Quality Time Studio will assist other developers in several areas, including product vision, publishing and investor strategies, production processes, and business structure development. The company also aims to foster international and multicultural collaborations, providing guidance for small teams looking to grow sustainably in a competitive industry.
Beyond game development, Thimme wants Quality Time Studio to contribute to the growth of the games industry in Lower Saxony, a region he believes holds untapped potential for creative development.
“I often hear from developers who've been in the industry for a long time that they can imagine living outside the big cities – that’s a real opportunity for the region,” Thimme said. “Compared to some other German states, the games industry in Lower Saxony isn't as well established yet. I’d be delighted if, with Quality Time Studio, I could help build up another creative hub in the region.”
