Fighting game legend Dominique “SonicFox” McLean has officially signed with FlyQuest. The esports organization shared the news on December 12th, adding one of the most successful players in fighting game history to its roster.
SonicFox announced the signing on X, saying, “I look forward to flying high with FlyQuest.” The post was paired with a fun video where SonicFox appeared across five different games. In the skit, SonicFox proudly celebrates the moment by saying, “I’m the best.”
The video also featured fellow Evo champion Justin Wong, who jokingly challenged SonicFox to prove even more. Wong asked, “Are you a different animal, but the same furry?” SonicFox quickly replied, “What does that even mean?”
After the playful back and forth, the video ends with SonicFox feeling inspired to achieve more by joining FlyQuest. The organization later made its support clear by saying, “We don’t plan on dropping them after just one Evo win.”
SonicFox is widely considered one of the greatest players in fighting game history. Over more than 10 years, they have won Evo championships in several major titles, including Mortal Kombat X, Mortal Kombat 11, Mortal Kombat 1, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Skullgirls 2nd Encore.
