Sony has announced a price hike for the base model of the PlayStation 5 across several major regions, citing ongoing economic pressures. The changes are effective immediately and affect the digital edition of the console in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, with further increases planned across the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In a blog post published today, Isabelle Tomatis, SIE’s Vice President of Global Marketing, explained the rationale behind the decision.
