The GTA 6 Netflix Leak Rests on a Screenshot Nobody Can Find

Like it never happened.
Someone on r/GTA6 posted an image of Netflix Portugal's page for the GTA Extended Look. It appeared to show three episodes listed beneath the main entry, which is unexpected.
Episode one will be 23 minutes 37 seconds. Episode two is listed as 24 minutes 41 seconds. Episode three at 18 minutes 29 seconds. Sixty-six minutes and change in total, against roughly five minutes for GTA 5's original gameplay trailer. Now 66 minutes is half a movie size, which is why we have to take it with a pinch of salt.
However, following the leak, the the page updated and the listings vanished. Then the Reddit account was deleted, taking the screenshot with it.

What can actually be checked
Not much.
The Portugal Netflix listing is gone. The original image is gone. The account that posted it is also gone. What's circulating now is a copy of a copy, reposted across X and a dozen outlets and here.
None of the companies posted, obviously.
It can be placeholder metadata, and it surfaces early more often than you'd think. Also the r/GTA6 subreddit is, by its own users' admission, filled with AI-generated fakes, which makes an unverifiable screenshot from a now-deleted account a difficult thing to build reporting on.
Worth noting: shortly after Rockstar's 6 August announcement, a separate Netflix app glitch reportedly showed the Extended Look running around 30 minutes. That figure doesn't match this one either. We will find out about it on 27th.
Why people want to believe it
The runtimes are oddly specific.
The stronger case comes from Strauss Zelnick. He labeled the Netflix deal "a first-of-its-kind partnership" and described the GTA Extended Look as "one of the hors d'oeuvres," with appetisers, a main course and dessert still to come. On the Q1 FY2027 earnings call he added: "I'm not prepared to tell you how it's going to go, but I feel really good about it. And of course, some six hours after the initial launch on Netflix, it will be available on the Rockstar Games channel on YouTube, and I think ultimately many other outlets."
Gamers have already assigned hypothetical contents to each episode, gameplay overview first, then Jason, then Lucia, or some variant involving multiplayer.
The truth is nobody has any information about what's in any episode, including whether there are episodes.
The bit that isn't rumour
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on 27 August at 3pm ET, and wil be live on Rockstar's YouTube channel six hours later at 9pm ET. The game launches 19 November.
Everything else on this story is a screenshot that no longer exists, from an account that no longer exists, on a page that has since been changed.
