|content=Strikerz Inc. and publishing partner XTEN Limited have announced a late-year release window for the PC version of their highly anticipated free-to-play football game, UFL. According to CEO Eugene Nashilov, players can expect the game to launch sometime in November or December, although an exact release date has yet to be confirmed.

“Most likely it’s going to happen in November, but I’m not being too specific right now because it’s not yet ready,” Nashilov shared during a media briefing on Monday. “We’re working on it, and we’re finalizing it.”

The game’s road to PC has been marked by steady development and recent technical testing. Earlier this year, UFL underwent several tech tests on PC, which Nashilov described as successful overall. However, he noted that a few remaining technical issues are still being resolved as the team works toward launch readiness.

“We know the state the game needs to be in before it can launch,” he said. “And we won’t rush anything to get it out.”

One feature notably missing from the upcoming PC version is cross-platform play. Nashilov addressed the absence, reiterating that the team has previously explained their decision not to include crossplay between PC and console players.

Despite that, he left the door open for change, stating, “If the PC player numbers are what they expect and it’s needed to get them into more games, it’s something they have the ability to do.”

Originally announced in 2021, UFL positions itself as a competitive alternative in the football gaming genre, with an emphasis on fair play and a player-first experience. The game has garnered attention for its long development cycle and promises of a free-to-play model that steers clear of pay-to-win mechanics.
