Irish organization WYLDE just dropped a bombshell. The team, co-owned by sprint legend Usain Bolt, is pulling out of Rainbow Six Siege competition. They made the announcement on January 29th, wrapping up five solid years in Ubisoft's intense FPS title.

[[Companies/WYLDE|WYLDE]] jumped into Rainbow Six Siege back in 2021. Since then, they've carved out a strong spot in the European scene. The org racked up results in all sorts of regional tournaments, proving they belonged with the big names.

Their success came in Gamers8 in 2022. That roster fought hard for a top-four finish. They knocked out heavy hitters like Team Liquid and Spacestation Gaming. In their official statement, WYLDE didn't hold back on the feels. "Today marks a heartbreaking moment for WYLDE as we announce our withdrawal from competitive Rainbow Six Siege after five years," they wrote.

They laid it out plain. "The commercial reality of sustaining a Tier One team, providing necessary support, and the appropriate pay is not possible under the current conditions. WYLDE loves Siege; we cherish the community and endeavour to find a viable path."

This isn't a one-off in Rainbow Six esports. WYLDE joins a growing list of orgs leaving Rainbow Six Siege in 2026. Just on January 5th.
