|content=Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently spoke with CNBC’s Squawk Box about the future of gaming. During the interview, he shared his thoughts on where the industry is heading. Zelnick explained that he believes gaming is moving more toward PC and becoming more open instead of closed.

“I think it’s moving towards PC and business is moving towards open rather than closed,” says Zelnick. “But if you define console as the property, not the system, then the notion of a very rich game that you engage in for many hours that you play on a big screen — that’s never going away.”

His comments come at an interesting time. [[Companies/Valve|Valve]] has announced its new console, the Steam Machine, which lets players enjoy Steam games on a TV. At the same time, Xbox and Microsoft have been showing more support for PC gamers, suggesting that the company is rethinking its focus on traditional consoles.

However, there is one surprising detail. Take Two’s biggest upcoming game, Grand Theft Auto 6, still has no PC version announced. The previous game, Grand Theft Auto 5, took two years to release on PC after launching in 2013.
