|content=Team Tidebound has officially shut down its Dota 2 division just one year after entering the competitive scene. The Chinese organization announced it will move to inactive status effective immediately following an internal review of its future in the game.

The decision was made after evaluating the “current CN Dota talent environment and long-term development.” In a statement shared on Weibo, the organization confirmed the news, saying: “After careful consideration and a difficult decision by the club’s management, we regret to formally announce that the Tidebound Esports Club will officially transition to inactive status effective immediately.”

Despite the closure, the majority of the roster will continue competing. Four out of the five players have already secured new organizations ahead of the 2026 season.

[[Companies/Team Tidebound|Team Tidebound]] fielded several accomplished Dota 2 veterans, including The International 2016 and Riyadh Masters 2022 champions Zhang “y`” Yiping and Zhang “Faith_bian” Ruida.

The team made its debut at DreamLeague Season 25: China Open Qualifier 1 and quickly gained recognition by winning multiple qualifiers. These results earned Tidebound appearances at PGL Wallachia Season 3 and ESL One Raleigh 2025.

Over its one-year run, the team captured the Clavision Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi title and finished as runners-up at the Asian Champions League 2025.
