content | Text | | [[Companies/OpTic Texas|OpTic Texas]] has announced the return of Australian Call of Duty esports player Amer ‘[[People/Pred|Pred]]’ Zulbeari to the team's starting lineup.
Pred takes the place of Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland, who competed for the team during the opening Major of the season in Madrid, Spain. Pred originally joined OpTic Texas in July 2023, becoming the first Call of Duty player from the APAC region to win a CDL Major. He left the team in December 2024 to take a break and address an undisclosed personal matter.
His return marks the reshaping of the OpTic Texas roster, which triumphed at the 2024 CDL Championship, defeating New York Subliners in the Grand Final.
OpTic Texas is the first CDL franchise to make a roster change after the conclusion of Major 1. Despite securing the top seed for the opening event of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 season, the team finished with a top-eight placement after losses to Miami Heretics and Carolina Royal Ravens. |
