According to release in 2023, consumer spending on the Epic Games Store saw a notable increase of 16% to reach $950m. However, it's noteworthy that Epic-produced games still constituted the majority of this total, with spending on third-party PC games experiencing a decline of 13% year-over-year to $310 million. The top titles were Epic's Fortnite and Rocket League, along with Genshin Impact, Dead Island 2, and Grand Theft Auto 5. The Epic Games Store's userbase continued to grow, rising by 17% year-over-year to reach 270 million users.
