content | Text | | According to recent news, a lawsuit has been initiated against Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, and Epic Games alleging that four major industry giants have contributed to video game addiction.
On October 30, a complaint was filed in the Eastern District of Arkansas, as reported by Insider Gaming. Microsoft, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and Epic Games, along with some of their subsidiary studios, have all been named as defendants in the lawsuit.
According to the lawsuit, these companies have actively fostered a "video game addiction" with the deliberate intention of ensnaring consumers and reaping substantial profits. The plaintiff, an Arkansas mother, has brought this suit on behalf of her minor child, identified as G.D., as well as her husband, who is the child's father. |
