content | Text | | UK-based esports organization [[Companies/Noctem Esports|Noctem Esports]] has officially announced its closure, bringing an abrupt end to its two-year journey in the competitive gaming scene. The organization, which competed in Apex Legends and Call of Duty leagues, shared the news on March 3, 2025, via its official X account.
"A sad day today, as we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cease Noctem’s operations with immediate effect," the statement read.
"For two years, we gave everything to build something special, and to take the brand to where we needed and wanted it to be. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make that happen. But what a ride it’s been. Four world finals appearances, four esports, millions of views. An incredible and dedicated content team."
The organization closed its message by reflecting on the journey, expressing gratitude for the support, and even leaving the door open for a possible return in the future.

Despite Noctem's successes, its sudden shutdown surprised many in the esports community. Marco ‘Stallion’ Galluzo, a streamer for Fnatic, reacted to the news, saying:
"Can’t believe this, thought you’d made some huge moves over the last two years as well. Wish all the best for everyone who was involved."
Stingzy, a content creator and former Noctem member who left on February 26, 2025, also shared his thoughts:
"It’s really sad to see this. I loved my time here, and [I’m] sad to see it end!"
With Noctem’s closure, its players and staff are now searching for new opportunities in the esports scene. |
