content | Text | | [[Companies/Twitch|Twitch]] is changing its approach to sexual content over the platform. Under the updated policy, the platform will permit certain previously restricted content, provided it carries a warning label for viewers.
The new policy allows content featuring "deliberately highlighted breasts, buttocks, or pelvic region" if accompanied by a Content Classification Label (CCL). The CCL, introduced in June, serves as a tool for creators to alert users if their stream includes mature content, sexual themes, gambling, or other explicit material. In a notable policy shift, Twitch has expanded its guidelines regarding sexually explicit content on the platform. The updated rules specify that drawn, animated, or sculpted representations of "fully exposed female-presenting breasts and/or genitals or buttocks regardless of gender" and "body writing on female-presenting breasts and/or buttocks" will now be permissible, provided they carry a Content Classification Label (CCL).
Moreover, Twitch has adjusted its stance on streams featuring erotic dances, such as strip teases. The platform will not take actions against such content as long as the streamers label the content. Twitch has also decided to no longer mandate a label for streams involving activities like twerking, grinding, and pole dancing. |
