contentTextHONOR has unveiled a new gaming phone production line, accompanied by a partnership with Yinuo, a player from the Chengdu AG Gaming Club, who will serve as the brand ambassador for its new Honor GT phone series. The announcement was made through the sports and esports agency SPORTFIVE, which also facilitated a previous collaboration between HONOR and Gamers8 in 2023. According to the release, the partnership is part of HONOR’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the esports industry and connect with the "young generation of gaming enthusiasts." The Honor GT is a gaming-focused smartphone currently available only in China. It boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and is designed around three key principles: "next-generation technology, ultra-high performance, and pioneering design." HONOR, which was acquired from Huawei in 2020 by Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology, is actively expanding its influence in the esports sector. Recently, the company partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation for the EWC 2024, providing smartphones for various mobile esports tournaments, including Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Honor of Kings.
