2weeks, a newly established studio, has announced it has secured $1.25 million in pre-seed funding. The funding round was led by A16Z, which also welcomed 2weeks into its accelerator program, Speedrun.

Additional contributions came from Anorak Ventures, Blue Heron Ventures, as well as notable individuals including Brendan Iribe, Ben 'CohhCarnage' Cassel, Art Min, Nate Mitchell, Nirav Patel, and Jamie Stormbreaker.

The capital will be used to advance the development of more projects at the studio, which specializes in short, experimental web-based titles. Founded in late June by AAA veterans Brandon Dillon and Richard Foge, 2weeks has already released its debut title, "Homestretch Bet."
