Apple has announced a new dedicated gaming app, Apple Games, set to debut across its devices this fall. The app was revealed during the company’s 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference and will serve as a centralized hub for all things gaming on Apple platforms.

Combining elements of the current Game Center and the gaming section of the App Store, the new app is described by Apple as “an all-in-one gaming destination for players to explore what's happening across their games, discover new ones, and play with friends.”

The app will also include direct access to Apple Arcade, Apple’s subscription-based gaming service. Players can expect Game Center features like achievements, challenges, leaderboards, and multiplayer activities to be integrated into the new experience.

Apple Games will come pre-installed on devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 or later. A beta version is already available for testing, with full availability expected later this year.

Bloomberg first reported Apple’s plans for a gaming app in May, describing it as a “launcher for titles” aimed at centralizing “in-game achievements, leaderboards, and other activity.”

With this move, Apple appears to be streamlining its gaming ecosystem and offering a more cohesive experience for players across its platforms.
