Electronic Arts (EA) is gearing up for the launch of Battlefield 6 Season 1, with a brand-new trailer set to debut on Wednesday, October 22. The trailer, which will be released at 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT, will offer players their first look at the new Blackwell Fields map, one of the major highlights of the upcoming season.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 will officially launch on October 28, bringing with it a host of new content, including a fresh map, game modes, vehicles, and more. This season will mark the start of regular, free post-launch updates for the latest entry in the Battlefield franchise, with Season 1 split into three distinct parts: Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive.

Rogue Ops Kicks Off the Action

The first chapter, Rogue Ops, will drop on October 28 and introduce Blackwell Fields, a brand-new map designed to offer exciting new gameplay opportunities. Along with the map, Rogue Ops will bring players a new game mode called Strikepoint, the Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, and three additional weapons, among other features.

What's Next: California Resistance and Winter Offensive

Following the launch of Rogue Ops, the second part of the season, California Resistance, will arrive on November 18. This update will bring the Eastwood map into the mix, along with the introduction of the Sabotage game mode. Players can expect more variety and challenges as they dive into the new content.

Finally, the Winter Offensive portion of the season will round out the updates, though it won’t feature a new permanent map. Instead, players can look forward to the Ice Lock Empire State map, which will be a limited-time event map, providing players with unique gameplay and rewards during the event's run.

One of the most eagerly awaited features for Battlefield 6 is the launch of a free-to-play Battle Royale mode. Although speculation has suggested that the mode could launch alongside Season 1, Electronic Arts has yet to confirm if it will be available on October 28.
