Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders continues to build momentum, with its player count not only holding steady but rising as its lifecycle progresses. The extraction shooter has shown consistent growth since launch, supported by an active community and a strong roadmap of future content.
Over the recent weekend, Embark Studios revealed that ARC Raiders reached a peak of 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms. According to available data, 64% of those players were active on Steam, highlighting the game’s strong PC audience.
Released on October 30, 2025, ARC Raiders has quickly become a standout in the extraction shooter genre, which has seen growing popularity on PC thanks to titles such as Escape from Tarkov, Marauders, Gray Zone Warfare, and Arena Breakout: Infinite. The genre’s blend of tactical survival, resource management, and high-risk combat has long appealed to PC gamers, and ARC Raiders has successfully added its own unique twist with a post-apocalyptic setting and AI-driven robotic enemies.
Despite being available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the data suggests that console adoption remains relatively modest. With only 36% of players on console platforms, the game’s audience is still primarily PC-focused. This imbalance may reflect the genre’s limited history on consoles, where few extraction shooters have achieved sustained success.
Titles such as Call of Duty’s DMZ attempted to bring the formula to console audiences but struggled to retain players. ARC Raiders, by contrast, is introducing console gamers to the extraction shooter experience with full cross-platform support and live-service updates that mirror the pace of top PC titles.
