Marvel Snap is stepping into the global esports arena with its newly announced Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series—a free-to-enter competition open to players of all skill levels, with tournaments kicking off this August.
Developer Second Dinner revealed details of the ambitious event via social media, confirming that registration will open on July 31, 2025, through the game’s official Discord server. The first regional qualifiers are scheduled for August 9, targeting players in both America and the APAC region.
Notably, there will be no entry requirements tied to player rank or collection level. “All levels are welcome and encouraged to try whatever in-meta or outlandish deck they want,” Second Dinner stated, highlighting the inclusive nature of the competition.
The series will be broadcast live on Marvel Snap’s Twitch and YouTube channels, allowing fans to follow the action as players compete using a variety of deck strategies—ranging from meta-optimized builds to unpredictable, experimental combos.
After the initial qualifiers, two additional open competitions will run later in 2025, culminating in the Worlds Championship on November 8, 2025. The final event will bring together 300 of the top competitors from around the world. Prizes will be awarded to the top 16 finishers, though specific prize details have yet to be disclosed.
