Red Bull Wololo 2024 Details Announced
Red Bull Wololo, the renowned Age of Empires esports tournament, is set to make a comeback this October in Cordoba, Spain. The event will take place at the Castillo de Almodóvar del Río.
Red Bull Desctribed the castle as "To head into an epic battle of historical proportions requires an equally fitting backdrop - and where better than a real medieval castle? Castillo de Almodóvar del Río in Spain provides the setting for this major esports event running from October 3-6 and brings us back to the Middle Ages. While the Romans initially laid the foundation for this mighty fortification, the current structure is of Arab Umayyad origin, built in 760 AD."
Featured titles and the prize pools will be,
- Age of Empires I, US$40,000.00
- Age of Empires II, US$150,000.00
- Age of Empires IV, US$50,000.00
- Age of Mythology: Retold, US$10,000.00
Red Bull officials stated "Red Bull Wololo: El Reinado beckons forth its fiercest champions in a challenge to take on the king of the castle. From seasoned veterans to those yearning for their first conquest, all are welcome to test their mettle in this grand tournament, taking place in the castle worthy only of true warriors: Castillo de Almodóvar del Río in Spain."
The event prize pool will be $60k. The tournament will be sponsored by AOC and Blackrock. each title will have qualifiers and direct invites. The finals of the event will take place between 3 – 6 October 2024.
