Sony Partners with Esports World Cup Foundation

Sony has entered a multi-year agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation to participate as a founding member in the Esports World Cup. The inaugural event is set to occur this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring players and teams from around the world competing across numerous games for what is anticipated to be the largest prize pool in esports history.

The partnership involves various divisions of Sony, including Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sony Pictures, and Sony Music, collaborating on different aspects of the World Cup. Sony Music will compose the event's anthem, Sony Pictures will produce documentaries highlighting players and games, and Sony Interactive Entertainment will provide support for promising creators and talent.

Toshimoto Mitomo stated “We look forward to further catering to this growing, global community of players and fans with the Esports World Cup.”
