NRG has claimed their first international title and capped off their 2025 campaign in style, defeating FNATIC 3-2 in a high-stakes grand final at Champions Paris. The win also marks IGL Ethan’s second Champions trophy, solidifying his legacy in Valorant history.

The series opened with a dominant showing from NRG, who took Corrode (13-3) and Lotus (13-6) off the back of explosive starts and suffocating defensive setups. Key moments included Ethan’s impactful KAY/O play and s0m’s emergence in his first international final.

FNATIC, however, responded with one of the most remarkable comebacks in Champions history. Down 11-1 on Abyss, the team clawed back to win 15-13 in overtime, with kaajak and Chronicle leading the charge. They carried that momentum into Ascent (13-8), where strong Sentinel setups and smart ult economy forced a map five.

But on Sunset, it was all NRG. They raced to their third 9-3 halftime lead of the series and didn’t falter this time, closing the map 13-5 to seal the championship and deny FNATIC a reverse sweep.

While FNATIC ends the year with three grand final appearances and no titles, NRG’s resilience under pressure delivered them the organization’s first international win.

The tournament MVP was brawk, whose standout performances—particularly with the Odin—earned him a 1.27 rating, +23 K/D, and 151 ADR. His consistency throughout the upper bracket and finals made him a clear difference-maker in NRG’s historic run.
