Activision has officially confirmed that Verdansk will make its highly anticipated return in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, launching on April 3. The revamped map is described as "95% a rebuilt version" of the original Verdansk from Warzone's March 2020 debut, with the remaining 5% featuring updated lighting and quality-of-life enhancements.
Raven Software, the developer behind Warzone, emphasized that the goal of Verdansk’s return is to preserve the classic and nostalgic experience that fans remember. Key elements such as Buy Stations, Points of Interest, Killstreaks, and Easter eggs remain largely unchanged, ensuring that veteran players will feel right at home. Additionally, the updated map incorporates elements from later seasons, including Metro Station entrances and other refinements.

Battle Royale and Modes
Upon launch, Warzone Season 3 will feature Verdansk in its signature Battle Royale mode, supporting up to 150 players. To further enhance the nostalgic experience, the original in-game announcer will return to call the action during the “Return to Verdansk” event.
For newer players, Warzone introduces a fresh take on Battle Royale with a more accessible mode—Battle Royale Casual. This version supports a maximum of 148 players, consisting of 28 real players and 120 AI-controlled combatants, making it an ideal environment for newcomers to hone their skills and build confidence in Warzone’s intense gameplay.
The popular Plunder Quads mode will also return, accommodating up to 100 players. Meanwhile, Warzone Bootcamp, designed as a training ground for players, will feature up to 12 players and 32 AI-controlled bots.
