Method

Method is a world-renowned World of Warcraft (WoW) guild that originated in the UK. Founded in 2005 by Scott "Sco" McMillan, Method rose from a casual group of friends into one of the most successful and influential competitive raiding guilds in the game's history. Over the years, the guild has played a central role in shaping WoW’s high-end raiding scene.

Origins and Rise to Prominence Founded: 2005 in Scotland, UK.

Early focus: Progression raiding in World of Warcraft.

Method quickly gained fame during the early expansions of WoW by pushing for "World First" boss kills—an ultra-competitive race between top guilds worldwide to be the first to defeat new raid bosses on the hardest difficulty.

Notable Achievements World Firsts: Method secured numerous World First raid boss kills, including key wins in:

Uldir (Battle for Azeroth)

Battle of Dazar'alor (Battle for Azeroth)

The Eternal Palace (Battle for Azeroth)

These races were often livestreamed to tens or hundreds of thousands of viewers on platforms like Twitch, helping to pioneer the concept of Race to World First as a full-fledged esports event.
