Gen.G Esports has etched their name into League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) history after completing the 2025 Spring regular season with an undefeated 18-0 record, achieving the rare and prestigious milestone known as the “perfect split.”

This dominant run makes Gen.G only the second team in the modern LCK format to finish a split without dropping a single series, following in the footsteps of T1’s legendary 2022 Spring campaign.

Gen.G capped off their flawless run earlier today with a decisive victory over OKSavingsBank BRION (BRO)—a team that, while residing in the bottom ranks of the standings, has gained a reputation for pulling off unexpected upsets against top-tier squads like T1 and Dplus KIA.

Known for their precise map control and coordinated teamfighting, Gen.G didn’t just win—they dominated. The team recorded a 21-game win streak, sweeping powerhouses such as T1, Dplus KIA, and DRX with a series of 2-0 victories.

“They’ve clearly shown they’re the team to beat this season,” said LCK English host Daniel ‘dGon’ Gonzales, who’s also been vocal in his admiration for BRO throughout the split.

While Gen.G is the second team in the current format to complete a perfect split, they become the third in LCK history when considering earlier formats. Notably, SKT T1 K, the predecessor to today’s T1, achieved a perfect split during Champions Winter 2013-2014, under the former tournament structure run by OnGameNet.

With the regular season concluded, attention now turns to the Road to MSI, as Gen.G advances into the next phase of competition as the top seed. The new LCK postseason format offers two slots to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and the upcoming Esports World Cup. Both Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports, as the top two seeds, are just one series win away from international qualification.

Meanwhile, the rest of the league enters the gauntlet. The next six teams will face off in a "King of the Hill" style lower bracket, battling for a shot at redemption and MSI qualification. The final standings remain in flux, with the outcome of Dplus KIA vs. Nongshim RedForce likely to determine critical fifth and sixth place seeding, affecting both KT Rolster and Dplus KIA’s postseason journeys.
