Former CEO of Riot Games Nicolo Laurent's lawsuit was dismissed by the court. The lawsuit's outcome aligns with Riot's third-party investigation into the initial allegation involving the termination of former executive assistant Sharon O'Donnell in 2020. O'Donnell alleged wrongful termination and claimed that Laurent had made sexual advances and remarks toward her during her time at the company. Additionally, O'Donnell sought compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages incurred during her tenure at the company.

Former CEO Nicolo Laurent stated "Here’s an update on the 2021 lawsuit filed against Riot and me by my former assistant. Took 3+ years but finally relieved this is over. Now evaluating next steps."
Riot Games stated "Today, the arbitrator overseeing Sharon O'Donnell Vs Riot Games Inc., Et Al. issued his decision. The conclusion was clear: all claims in the January 2021 lawsuit against Riot Games and our former CEO, Nicolo Laurent, were unfounded. This outcome reinforces the results of the third-party investigation reviewed by our Board of Directors in March 2021. To be clear, there is no place for harassment or discrimination of any kind at Riot, and we will continue working to ensure our workplace remains safe and inclusive. We encourage all Rioters to speak up through our reporting channels if they experience or witness any misconduct."
