According to recent reports Blizzard is testing new pricing for Overwatch 2 cosmetic skins. In the "Just For You" shop section for players, prices have been reduced by various amounts. Customers have noticed price tags of 900, 800, 500, and 300 coins.
The pricing was criticized by many players since the release of the game. Since the release Overwatch 2 player base regarded the skins as expensive and unobtainable though in-game currency. The pricing of skins has become a significant source of frustration for casual players, who have criticized Blizzard for what they deem as "scummy" pricing tactics for cosmetics. Players have expressed outrage over certain skins being priced at $20 despite being mere recolors of existing cosmetics.
