Riot Games has announced a significant restructuring aimed at providing a more integrated and immersive experience for players. John Needham, currently President of Esports, will now lead as President of Publishing & Esports.

In his expanded role, Needham will oversee a newly combined group that integrates publishing, esports, international operations, platform technology, and music. This move is designed to create a seamless connection between Riot's games and its surrounding content, including esports and music.

Riot's expansion into TV and film will be managed through two specialized studios. Christian Linke will lead the new animation studio, continuing his successful collaboration with Fortiche Production and building on the success of Arcane. Brian Wright will head the live-action studio, leveraging his experience from Netflix to develop new projects based on Riot’s lore.
