Esports Wales has launched a new esports qualification in partnership with Agored Cymru. The Level 3 Agored Cymru Award in Esports Leadership is available to students aged 16 and over. The 60-hour course, which started on November 1st, 2024, covers esports session organization, the esports ecosystem, key stakeholders, regulations, and ethical practices in tournament organization.

To mark the launch, Esports Wales presented the course at the Welsh Senedd to government officials and outlined plans to grow esports in Wales. In 2024, Esports Wales expanded its initiatives, including a partnership with Acer for student workshop laptops and securing funding from Media Cymru’s Development Fund for the project "Esports Wales: A New Game Plan for Wales."
