kkOma
Kim Jeong-gyun (Korean: 김정균; born December 23, 1985), better known as kkOma, is a South Korean professional League of Legends coach, currently serving as the head coach of T1. Widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in League of Legends history, kkOma has earned a reputation for his strict coaching style and ability to develop talented rookies. He is a four-time World Champion, two-time Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) Champion, and ten-time LCK Champion.
Early Career
Before transitioning to coaching, kkOma had a brief competitive career in StarCraft II, competing under the ID "LittleBoy" for Team Old Generations. After unsuccessful attempts to qualify for the Global StarCraft II League, he switched to League of Legends, playing as a jungler for Startale during the League of Legends Champions Korea season.
Coaching Career
kkOma's coaching career began with SK Telecom T1 (SKT T1), where he led the team to four World Championships (2013, 2015, 2016, 2025) and became known for his strategic mind and player development skills. He also coached DWG KIA and was a finalist at the World Championship in 2017 and 2021. His leadership and dedication helped cultivate some of the best players in League of Legends history, including Faker and others.
kkOma is the only coach to have his own ward skin in League of Legends—the SKT T1 kkOma Ward—a unique honor that reflects his lasting impact on the game.
In addition to his club success, kkOma served as the **head coach of the South Korean League of Legends team for the 2022 Asian Games.
