FURIA pulled off a remarkable comeback to defeat Natus Vincere 3-2 in the grand final of the 2025 Thunderpick World Championship, securing their second title of the season and bolstering their status as Major favorites. After dropping the first two maps Mirage and Inferno in lopsided fashion, FURIA roared back with wins on Nuke, Overpass, and Train.
The Brazilian side was powered by a strong defensive display and standout performances from Danil "molodoy" Golubenko and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis. “It was very hard,” YEKINDAR said. “NAVI is a great team. I'm glad we overcame ourselves. Today we woke up with the wrong leg first. molodoy is sick, everybody is fucking exhausted. But instincts, or I don't know what you want to call it, but something came on the third, fourth and fifth maps, and I'm glad.” NAVI looked dominant early, especially on Mirage where FURIA’s stars struggled to make an impact. But after losing steam in the third map, they couldn’t recover, with only Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy showing resistance.
FURIA’s victory capped off a golden day for Brazilian CS, following Legacy’s win over 3DMAX at the CS Asia Championships in Shanghai. FURIA now heads to IEM Chengdu and BLAST Rivals as one of the world’s top teams.
