A Partnership Between Two Global Leaders
This is Visa’s first partnership in MLBB esports, showing the company’s growing interest in connecting with young, tech-savvy audiences through gaming.
MLBB’s popularity continues to rise. In 2024, it was named the world’s most popular mobile esports title by The Esports Awards, The Mobies, and the GamingonPhone Awards. The game even became the most-watched title in Esports World Cup (EWC) history this year.
Most of MLBB’s players about 60% are between 19 and 32 years old, making it a perfect fit for Visa’s mission to help the next generation enjoy digital experiences safely and easily.
Boosting Digital Payments for Young Players
By joining MLBB’s esports ecosystem, Visa hopes to make it easier for young fans to access the digital economy whether they’re buying tickets, merchandise, or in-game items.
Adrian Cher, Global Head of Partnerships for MLBB Esports at MOONTON Games, celebrated the collaboration:
“Having Visa onboard for the M7 World Championship is a huge milestone for the industry. It shows how far MLBB and mobile esports have come—now attracting global, mainstream brands. While this is all incredibly exciting, more importantly is how this partnership allows us elevate the M7 experience for our fans. Every partnership should make a difference—and with Visa, we are going beyond esports. Having them onboard provides the youth reliable payment solutions, empowering them to thrive in the digital economy while pursuing their passions.”
