Ziff-Davis, the parent company of IGN, has voluntarily acknowledged the newly formed IGN Creators Guild, as announced by the union on X, following their unionization announcement on February 6.
In a statement, the union expressed gratitude for the support received from peers and readers, stating that they are still finalizing the union's composition but are pleased with IGN's recognition.
The IGN Creators Guild comprises over 80 IGN employees, with more than 87% of them having signed union authorization cards. This move follows Ziff-Davis's previous recognition of workers at Mashable and PCMag, who formed the Ziff Davis Creators Guild in 2018.
