Following the release of Martin "STYKO" Styk's video titled"The Best FACEIT Player is not who you think it is...," Dmytro "Wonderful_Y" Horkusha has been banned from the FACEIT platform for 2 years. Notably, this ban comes just a day after FACEIT implemented its latest update to its anti-cheat client.
He confessed to exploiting the sv_cheats bug, a glitch that briefly permitted cheat-protected commands to be activated through the console on public servers. He attributed his actions to this bug and attempted to draw parallels to the situation of the former Eternal Fire Academy duo, who also utilized the exploit. He stated "Alright , since we all here see now what’s going on. I will tell the truth what happened. I was praying every second that I won’t be banned after 2 bans of ETF."

During the ban period, Wonderful_Y will be barred from participating in any tournaments or events organized by FACEIT. The discovery that a player could utilize such sophisticated cheats without detection raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of the current measures aimed at ensuring fair play. It erodes the trust and credibility of esports competitions as a whole, and recently we had remote-injected cheats during an Apex Legends Global Series.
